Here Comes Santa Claus!

I want to remember this night forever.  Because at the end of it, Lucy came up to me out of nowhere and hugged me and said "Mommy, thank you for making everything we do around Christmas time so much fun."  When your 4 year old says that- acknowledges special events- you KNOW you're doing something right.  I love that girl.  Well, I love BOTH my girls.

They saw Santa Clause tonight and got to help him take his coat off when he walked in, which was really cool for them.  They told him what they wanted from him ("Toys" for Piper {couldn't get many specifics out of her}, Chatsters, Snacking' Sara, and a Pony on a stick for Lucy).  After visiting Santa, we took a little Horse Drawn carriage ride around Woodstock which the girls LOVED!  Then we came home, snuggled up in Christmas Jammies, drank hot chocolate with big marshmallows in our cups, ate "sticky popcorn" and watched The Polar Express.  It was just one of those perfect nights.  We missed Daddy, as he is out of town this week, but us girls had so much fun.

So as you can see, it was a really magical night :)
Here are some other photos from the past week.  We've been busy since December started!
Some Elves decorated Lucy's preschool!  It looks so cute :)
Lucy's becoming quite the artist!  I am front and center with Sullivan in my belly :)
There was a day last week where I was lucky enough to have one-on-one time with each of my girls.  I never get dates with them alone, so twice in one day was SO good for us all!
On Monday morning, Piper was having a meltdown and the only thing that would make her happy was me playing Christmas carols on the piano.  And of course, once we started, everyone wanted to take turns playing while sitting next to me.  Lucy and I played and sang "Away in a Manger" and as we were singing, I was listening to her angelic voice singing about this little baby being born with nothing and my heart almost burst!  It was such a tender moment that will stay with me forever.  Christ is the reason for the season and hearing an innocent angel singing about it just really reminds us of what Christmas is really about.
The girls have been off and on with remembering that the Elves are watching them...but when they remember, they turn into little snuggle bugs with each other :)

So, I went to the doctor for my 28 week visit, and they told me that I was measuring a MONTH ahead of schedule.  Yikes!  Anything over 3 weeks requires a sonogram, just in case.... So we were lucky enough to see my sweet baby boy happily growing inside of me, and we saw him in 3D!  He has Lucy's mouth, and Piper's nose and big cheeks!  He is SO adorable already!  It is so neat to see them in 3D!  I included a regular picture as well to show his cheeks.  He was looking right at the little doppler and wouldn't turn for a profile picture, until we switched to 3D.  At one point in the Sonogram, he puckered his little mouth into what looked like a pout (with the bottom lip jutting out) and it was the sweetest thing!  This 3D technology is beyond amazing!  I was SO happy to see him.  He is only measuring 13 days bigger inside of me; not a whole month.  So that's nice....But I'm assuming if he stays inside until his due date, that he will be a BIG boy.  Possibly 9+ pounds....So yeah.  I'm nervous :(  But all that really matters at this point is that he is healthy.  And I am healthy.  Thank goodness!  All I want is another natural birth, no C-Section, so we will keep praying that he doesn't get TOO big to require one.
Lucy is still beyond excited to welcome this little boy into our house.  She still says good morning and good night to him everyday.  Her favorite thing to do in the morning is climb into bed with me, lift up my shirt, and watch him move.  I love it too.
Next up: Piper turns 3!! Stay tuned....
