So...let me just start out by announcing to anyone who may not know by now...Shawn and I are picking up and moving down to Colorado. I have been hesitant to talk about it because it's a little bit of a sore subject for me, seeing as how I just had a baby and am taking her away from her grandparents, from her extended family, from her awesome pediatrician, and from the only home she's ever known (ok, that last part is just me being a little dramatic- she will never even remember Boise). But Boise is MY home, and I love living here. However, after lots and lots of prayers, we know that this move is meant to be and it's just one of the many, many sacrifices I will have to make for the good of my family. So off to Colorado we go! We have been beyond busy packing and getting all of our ducks in a row. I know this is the right thing to do, and as Sheryl Crow says "a change would do you good." Change is important- I know this. I am slowly becoming more and more accepting of this move as I get used to the idea and have been successful at crossing off my big moving "to do's." And it's exciting to know that Lucy will be close(r) to her Cajun Family in Louisiana :) and also closer to some of her other sweet cousins who are also in Colorado. She has fun times headed her way. So Northglenn, Colorado- get ready! The Gilley's are on the way!
Another topic worth mentioning- my darling baby angel turned 1 month old today! HOORAY for being ONE month! She certainly has her Mommy and Daddy wrapped around her chubby little fingers; all 10 of them :)
She is the light of our lives and such a fun baby. Watching her grow by the minute just fascinates me. She is the most spoiled baby I have ever met, and you'd be surprised- at one month she already knows she can get what she wants. That might sound silly to some people, but spend an hour with her, and you will soon find out that that is the truth! She is the most beautiful princess I've ever seen and as I've said millions of times before, Heavenly Father has truly blessed me.
I'll close by saying I am thankful for the Lord providing answers to our prayers concerning this move. I'm thankful for a husband who has such a strong faith in prayer that when our prayers were answered in a way that we might not have wanted, Shawn didn't even hesitate to say "Ok, if this is what we're supposed to do, then we need to do it and have faith that God will take care of us as He always has." I'm thankful for my parents who have helped me pack up, and I am thankful for my family who has our moving dates marked on their calendars so they can set time aside to help us come and go. I am one lucky girl to have such great people in my life.
A new baby, a new job, a new state to live in....life is certainly changing and I welcome this change with open arms.
