She's just a few days shy of being 15 months old and she is SO much fun. This age is great. It's the time when she's not only walking everywhere, but she's starting to run! Still stiff-legged, but running none-the-less! (Except for down the stairs. She can fly up but is way too scared to venture going down). She is so happy! She's happy just to "be." Life makes her smile. She takes pride in bringing me objects around the house that aren't supposed to be moved, she says "dand do" for thank you, "di di" for sissy and "Ma" "Daddy" "muah!" "yay!" "hi" "bye" "no" "All Done!" and maybe a few others that are escaping my mind....She's very affectionate and loves to hug, kiss, and pat people's backs. When I say "people," I'm not just talking about people she knows. She loves strangers. Someday it might be wise to teach her "stranger-danger," but for now, I love how friendly and social she is. A man at Costco just has to say hi to her and she's reaching up to him for hugs. A Mom will drop her child off at our play center at PEAK and Piper wants to hold her hand and walk out the door with her. She loves people! And animals! Both of my girls are animal lovers for sure!
Piper sleeps from 7:30pm-9:00am every night- isn't that every Mother's dream?? And last night at midnight she started laughing hysterically in her sleep! I went in to check on her and she was sound asleep. But sure enough, every 5 minutes for about a half hour she would chuckle while she snoozed. Can you imagine how happy that made me? To know that my sweetie Pi was having funny, happy dreams? I wish all dreams could be that happy for her for the rest of her life!
She has 12 BIG teeth (with awesome spaces in between her 2 fronts) and still eats like a champ. Unfortunately, she's a little pickier than she used to be, but is still a good eater.
She LOVES ringing our doorbell. But she still doesn't like to watch TV much- a little Barney here or there, but I can't get her to distract herself with a full show yet... She loves Lux as much as ever, loves to dance every chance she gets, loves sucking on everyone's toothbrushes (much to my dismay) and loves plain celery. If it has ranch or peanut butter on it, she won't touch it. She's a woman who knows what she wants :)
Currently, her and Lucy are cracking each other up babbling words I can't understand back and forth and laughing deep belly laughs. No one can make Piper laugh harder than her Sister. She is so in love with Lucy, it is a sight for sore eyes any day!
Piper is one silly, rolly-polly, happy girl. She gets more and more beautiful every single day and I can't look at her and NOT smile. Her biggest downfall? SHE HATES GETTING HER DIAPER CHANGED. Yes, that requires all caps. Because for being such a joyful girl, she is an extreme fighter when it's time to change her buns!....and lately brush her teeth!
Anyway, there's my recap on Pi. I felt guilty for not updating my blog with Piper's milestones. It seems like I've been slacking in the "Mommy" department lately since I started working part-time, and it definitely makes me sad. Hopefully it won't always be this way....
But here are some pics of just the Pi to hold us over til the next post!
Little Miss was very sensitive for a few days while she was getting her 4th and final molar!
Her outfit sucked her thighs in and showed off her bling. This Mama was laughing! I really am quite obsessed with my Piper baby!!!
I'm obsessed with her too!! Boy do I love that little chunk of Pi!!! This was very sweet. She's a lucky little girl to be so sweet and loved.
ReplyDeletehahaha! Love those leggings that show off her chunky thighs! We all love sweet little pi!
