Blessed Sunshine!

This is how I felt all week with the FIRST warm days here in Lincoln since October:

There is sunshine in my soul today,
More glorious and bright
Than glows in any earthly sky,
For Jesus is my Light.

O there’s sunshine, blessèd sunshine,
When the peaceful, happy moments roll;
When Jesus shows His smiling face,
There is sunshine in the soul.

There is music in my soul today,
A carol to my King,
And Jesus, listening, can hear
The songs I cannot sing.

There is springtime in my soul today,
For, when the Lord is near,
The dove of peace sings in my heart,
The flowers of grace appear.

There is gladness in my soul today,
And hope and praise and love,
For blessings which He gives me now,
For joys “laid up” above.

I believe I literally sang this song all week long.  Humming it as I spent hours upon hours outside. Monday, April 13th, was the FIRST day of 2015 that we were able to go play in our yard without wearing snow clothes.  There was still lots of unmelted snow those first 3 days so we had to stay on our deck or the trampoline, but with temps in the 50s, 60s, and even 70 one day, we were in heaven and didn't go inside for more than a few minutes each day.  Flipping over the trampoline was almost as happy as Christmas morning for my sweeties!

We blew lots of bubbles (and I mean LOTS), played with squirt guns, jumped on the trampoline a lot,  drew lots of pictures with sidewalk chalk, and went on family walks each night.  The running trail by our house finally opened up (I've been running to the entrance of it a couple times a week for the past 3 weeks and it was snow packed until 2 days ago- FINALLY!!!).  It was a good week.  THERE IS SUNSHINE IN MY SOUL TODAY!

Tomorrow we go back to a little bit colder temps and heavy rains for the week. But it's official.  Spring has FINALLY, blessedly, sprung out here.  I've never been more thankful for Spring in my entire life.  Seriously.  THANK YOU Heavenly Father.  Thank you.
Finally get to wear SPRING clothes! Love all the pretty colors!
My daughters are the best of friends. I love it.
We got to break out the Jeep again! Woo-hoo!
Some yard work to get our yard in Summer shape! Gonna take forever....
We all got a little color on our wintery white skin, we did as much yard work as we could, and we set up Maisy's electric fence so that she won't escape our yard anymore....Haha, one shock was all it took.  She was trained super fast!
Like I said, it was a good week :)
