Happy Halloween Everyone!

Halloween and October are officially over and done with and NOW I can start focusing on the next holiday....Thanksgiving.  I can't WAIT!  Every day that goes by is one day closer to me being able to hold my sweet baby angel Piper....But until then, I will summarize Lucy's 2nd Halloween- the last one where she will be my only child!

We carved pumpkins last weekend, and it was cute to watch Lucy paint hers.  She's obviously too little to carve, so we let her go crazy with the finger paint.  Last year she was intrigued by this, this year she was ALL about it!  She got paint everywhere and absolutely loved every second of it.  I LOVE watching this little girl get "creative."
On the actual day of Halloween, we didn't do much.  But Lucy was pretty as ever in her Fall shirt and big smile.  Have I ever mentioned how cute she is???

When Shawn got home we dressed up and took Lu to a Halloween Carnival.  It sounded really fun in theory...but HUNDREDS of people and hyper kids crowded inside a small church with narrow hallways didn't make it the best place to take Lucy this year.  She people-watched and ate some buttered popcorn, but other than that, she didn't really understand what the heck was going on.  We stayed and tried to play a pirate game and she did a "bake walk" but we decided to ditch the crowd after about 30 minutes.
Look at those eyelashes!
Shawn went as the Duck Commander.  He makes me laugh!

I guess I should mention that Lucy was a beautiful butterfly!  She was so darn cute, I took too many pictures (as always).  But you might notice that she isn't smiling in a single picture in her costume!  Nope.  She was stone-faced the whole time.  It wasn't until we got home and stripped her costume off that she ran around naked shrieking and laughing.  She likes to be naked a LOT more than she liked being stuffed into a hot pink body suit with wings :) The only part of the costume she liked was her face paint and glitter.  Oh, and she really liked blinking into my mascara wand.  She knew what I was doing and happily blinked for me to apply it with a big smile on her face.  She is SUCH a girly girl! I absolutely love it!

Bath time! Good night and Happy Halloween!

It was a good day.  Can't wait to take my witches and spider webs down and put my turkey decorations up tomorrow.  I hope everyone was safe tonight and all the sweet kiddos that I love had a fun holiday!  Happy Halloween everyone!
