Updates!

I was emailing Nana the other night, updating her on what's going on with Lucy and my pregnancy, and I figured I should just update any of my loyal readers as well!  So here are the latest Gilley updates!

I am 28 weeks and counting....12 weeks left of pregnancy! I am healthy (if not a little overweight.... oops!) and blessed that Piper is healthy and everything has been smooth sailing.  She is JUST as wiggly as Lucy was- right now it doesn't hurt but I know it will soon!  At least it's reassuring to feel her move; to know she's OK in there :)   I'm already getting SO big and so the discomfort is here in full force! But I have cool weather to *hopefully* look forward to soon, which should help- HELLO OCTOBER- it's SO nice to see you :) However, December can NOT come soon enough, that's for sure!

On her way to get a flu shot.  Poor baby!
At least this pregnancy has been going by faster than Lucy's.  Probably because I have Lucy to keep me ohhhh so busy!  She is the busiest little girl ever.  She is a climber and perches on very high surfaces often.  I don't know how she manages to get up on some surfaces so fast, but I'll walk in a room and see her balanced high up on a tiny surface and it scares me half to death!  She is a trouble maker for sure :)  Also a little comedian.  Her new "trick" is to pretend to sleep.  She makes the snoring noise and all.  As if we can't tell- she will be playing in bed and we will come in to tell her to go to sleep and she's suddenly "snoring" away....Hahaha she makes me laugh everyday.  She is REALLY into making funny faces for me and Shawn, blowing kisses and winking (she blinks both her eyes for a wink).  She LOVES to play dress up with all my jewelry and clothes and is saying more words every day.  She dances and "sings" too.  "Tickling" us has been her latest thing.  We have to fake laugh as hard as we can so she thinks she's really got us!  She's a smarty pants, this little one.  We took her to the dentist a few weeks ago and she absolutely hated it!  But she has 12 healthy teeth :)  She is officially in her "big girl" bed and loves it.  She only gets out to play with her toys sometimes... and when we catch her, she just looks up at us and says "hi" like it's the most normal thing in the world for her to be playing in her room in the dark at 10pm at night.

Hunting season starts this Saturday so Shawn will be up at 2:30 am to get ready to go shoot his ducks.  He CANNOT wait!  Looks like a few months of long Saturdays for us!
Papa came and visited Lu yesterday.  He had a 9 hour layover in Denver so we spent the day with him.  It was fun to just relax and let him and Lucy have some play time.  She is a fun little girl to hang out with, and he's a fun guy.  He treated us to lunch and we spent the afternoon feeding ducks, playing in the park....and the guys watched golf and football.
Here are "the girls" again!  All of us weeks away and very tired at this point...don't know if we will get around to taking any more of these group pictures!
Lucy and her buddies jumping on the bed
Glad she has such good friends :)  The next batch of babies is almost here!
We are doing well here in Colorado.  Even though it's been over a year, we finally made it "official" and got new Colorado phone numbers!  I guess I'm a real Coloradan now :)
 Love and miss you all!
