Lucy got a haircut! Her first one....I envisioned her having long, flowing locks of hair that I could braid and curl every day while she twirled around in a field full of flowers each day of her life. But the reality of the situation was that her hair was so stringy and tangly that it was a fight to brush out the rats each morning and it was all different lengths at the end- as you can see. I guess I don't get to live vicariously through her. There is still hope for Piper, but it seems Lucy inherited my wispy hair that I had as a child. And until College, I never had long hair because my hair just sucked. It still pretty much does. Therefore, Lucy is probably doomed to live her whole life with hair North of her shoulders....sigh...
Anyway- I have to admit she looks really cute with her hair a few inches shorter. And who, might you ask, cut it? None other than Yours Truly. Not only was it her first haircut, it was my first time cutting girls' hair! And we both did a great job! She held still (thanks to the iPad) and I cut straight! Phew....
(And don't worry- I saved the stringy scraps and taped them in her baby book. It wasn't even enough to make a good wig for a Barbie....)
CHEESE!
