Be My Valentine....Part 2!

Valentines Day came and went.  Ok, my girls are SO spoiled.  And maybe I shouldn't like it?  But I love it.  The joy they get from simple red and pink goodies is contagious! I just wanted to show a few pictures of the girls on "Love" Day.  Grandparents sent boxes of treats for them and Lucy ran down stairs SO fast that morning and yelled "PRESENTS!" She was so excited.  I made some pink-ish pancakes for breakfast and we all wore our pink clothes (except Shawn).  Later, Cambrie Ball babysat our girls so Shawn and I could go on a date.  We went to Olive Garden and forgot about ALL of our stress for a couple of hours.  The dinner and babysitting was free, and it was the first time since we've been together that we were able to go on a date on Valentine's Day.  It was perfect.  I even spent time doing my hair and makeup for once (I also got the girls extra dressed up and I FORGOT TO TAKE A PICTURE!  I don't know how I could have forgotten that- seeing as how I'm the queen of pictures.  I guess I was just so excited to go out with my hubbs that I spaced it.  How sad!)!  It was so much fun to sit with Shawn and not worry about the price of our dinner.  We are so thankful to my Mom and Sisters for giving that to us for Valentines Day.  It was a gift that was needed for a million reasons.  I'm getting teary eyed just thinking about how thankful I am all over again! Sheesh!

Anyway, Thank you Ninny and Papa and Grammy and Paw Paw for sending the girls giant care packages!  And thank you dollar store for giving me some amazing deals on even MORE Valentines for the girlies (I wouldn't have even bothered to buy them each a Valentine if I had known what was going to be in the boxes from their grandparents!)!  Valentines Day looked more like Christmas around here this year! It was fun!  (Plus, Nana Smidt gave us a huge tub of salted caramel and chocolate covered macadamia nuts that we scarfed down real quick.... oops!)
Yeah, I know.  It's a lot.  And it doesn't include another book and pair of boots that were opened a little early....The Gilley girls are very loved!
Side-note: This past Sunday, I was determined to put Piper's hair in real Pig-Tails.  She looked ADORABLE!
Hope everyone had a Happy Heart Day <3

  1. Wow! It does look like Christmas around there. Those Gilley grandparents were very generous! Such a fun day for everyone - so happy you and Shawn got some alone time. That made me so happy to read. We love you!
