I am in BIG trouble. I took a gazillion pictures and want to post them ALL. My girls had the most beautiful dresses in the world on and my finger just kept clicking away as I followed them around all day long.....Gosh darn, they are gorgeous.
Easter was traditional: we woke up, went downstairs to see what goodies the Easter Bunny brought, went to church, went to Nana's, had yummy ham, and then went on the much anticipated Easter Egg hunt. It was the first one that Lucy participated in where she actually knew what to do. She had SO much fun! Piper didn't understand what all the hype was about. She looked at me like "why the heck is putting an egg in a basket so cool?" She kept finding eggs, cracking them and eating them. Go figure. I love my Pied Piper.
Saturday night we dyed eggs and Piper pretty much dyed her body.... It was actually hilarious. I always let the kids go crazy with the eggs. Half of them are cracked by the time we're done dying them, and the other half are brown from the girls putting them into all the different cups of dye. And honestly? I wouldn't have it any other way! Thank goodness they're still young enough to pull off being naked while dying eggs (and carving pumpkins!) or else this Mommy would go crazy with that laundry!
I hope everyone had the Happiest of Easters. It's my 2nd favorite holiday and I know it's fun to surprise the girls with goodies and dress them up, but I honestly LOVE to think about my Savior and the fact that he was nailed on a cross because of and for my sins. He died so that we may live. What a glorious miracle.
Happy Easter Everyone.
