I can't write anything in this post that every Mom reading it doesn't already know. We know that Motherhood is one giant firework of emotion. We know that it can be THE most challenging job, but also the most rewarding. We know that it can make you madder than you've ever been, and happier than you ever knew you could be. It can make you want to hide in your closet from your kids on bad days, and literally smother them with kisses on good days. They bring you to your knees in despair some days, and lift you higher than you've ever been on others. They bring equal amounts of tears in sorrow and in joy. It's above and beyond what we could have hoped for. It's harder than we knew. But we'd do it again and again; a thousand times over. Because the payoff is love. Extraordinary love. And I could NOT ask for a better gift.
So what better way to spend Mother's Day than with the ones who made me a Mama?
Shawn gave me my sweet girls, and they gave me my current title: Mommy.
We had breakfast out on our back deck.
We went to the park.
We turned on the sprinklers for the girls to run in (it was almost 90 yesterday!)
I was given the most beautiful paper bouquet of "flowers" from my babies and real bouquet of dandelions too!
I got to relax a bit.
I smiled a lot.
My heart was full.

Sometimes you have to force them to take a picture but they still won't listen.... |

I even got some lovin's from Maisy :) |
Wish I could have spent Mother's Day with my babies AND my Mom, but you can't always get what you want.....
I had a fabulous Mother's Day. I hope all you Mom's in my life did as well.

Last but not least, I always like to thank Lucy for first giving me the gift of Motherhood. I love both of my girls, but this is the one who showed me the biggest love I'll ever know. All of me loves all of you, my sweet Lu Lu. |
You express yourself so well. Love this post!
