BFF's

Over the course of the past 2 years, I have given updates of me and my gorgeous BFF's, so it's no surprise that I'm about to post a few more pictures of them and our little babies!  They were our last pictures together :( I cannot express the heavy feeling my heart holds as I think about how I left these girls.  I know, I know...that probably sounds crazy to so many of you- that I could be heartbroken over leaving a friend.  But these girls were more than friends to me.  They were my sisters.  We all went through a LOT together- very few people in our lives know some of the personal struggles we shared with each other.  We also went through pregnancy together.  That alone will bond women for life :)  They were there for me each and everyday.  I spent more time with them than maybe any other friend in my life.  We all were neighbors and relied on each other for everything- and I mean EVERYTHING.  I miss them with my whole heart.  I miss that Lucy's BFF (Adeline) will not be seeing her every single day anymore.  I miss that Piper won't have any more pictures with her "crew" of babies that were all born within 6 weeks of each other.  I hate that we took Lucy from her best friend in the world.  Adi has been a constant companion in my little Lucy's short life and Lucy has been asking for her daily.  "Where's Adi?" :'( Joe and Christy and Me and Shawn spent hours and hours playing countless games together during our "Weldon/Gilley Game Nights," Christy was my biggest comforter in times of distress, but my biggest goofball of a friend in times of happiness.  Joe and Shawn spent many early Saturday mornings last winter duck hunting together.  We spent holidays together, birthdays together, attended movie premieres together, had a million play dates (just as much for the moms to get together as for the kids!), babysat each others kids (that was a huge help while we gave birth without our mom's around).... I mean, there isn't much that we DIDN'T do together.  I am forever grateful to Heavenly Father for blessing me with these once-in-a-lifetime friendships.  Christy was my first "mom-friend" and I will cherish her forever.  On the drive from Denver to Boise, I shed many tears and sent many texts to Christy about how much my heart was aching.  There was something extra special about our friendship. Something that can't be put into words.  She made me a better person and I miss her everyday already!

THE BABIES! Cambrie and Wilder- 7 months.  Piper and Cooper- 6 months. So big and cute!

We are now in Boise while Shawn searches fervently for jobs.  Us Gilley's are living in my old bedroom in the Smidt's house :)  Ninny and Papa have graciously opened their doors (and pantry) to our family and the girls are loving the extra attention.  And I am loving the extra arms!  It's amazing how much help it is just to have someone in the house if I need to run out for a few minutes.  Or when Ninny feeds P a bottle, or when Papa plays with Lucy....all of it adds up and I am taking full advantage.  I LOVE having extra help!

We may or may not be staying in Boise, I am not sure.  But if we leave here, hopefully it's not too far away from my Mom and Dad again.  And if it is, maybe Shawn will have a better paying job where we can fly up for family visits more often.  I love having my girls around their cousins and grandparents.  Plus, the North West has some of the best schools and I know Lucy is only 2, but we only have a few short years before we enroll this little girl.  So we really want to be settled somewhere soon.

If you're reading this and haven't been praying for our family, please, PLEASE pray.  We are stressed to the max and really are looking for some answers and guidance.  I will support my husband in moving to any location that he finds a job, but moving again and again is not ideal....it's stressful and expensive.  We just want to get settled.

Ok, once again my "short" post turned into an extra long one again....sheesh! I'll post pictures and get out of here.

At least you know we made it safe and sound to Boise.  I will be taking Boise pictures SOON and will post them as soon as I can. Tomorrow we're off to the lake to swim/ski/boat! Oh how I miss all the outdoor activities my family does! Yay!

I now have to add to my post and write about my sweet P. Piper Everly turned 6 months.  I don't know about you, but the time flew!  I can't seem  o wrap my head around the fact that I'm looking over at this chunker baby who seemed to just be a tiny little peanut last week.  I don't know how that happened so fast. She has definitely found her voice and talks ALL day.  She has 2 teeth (surprise Mom!) and she's learning to play with all of her toys in the cutest way.  The world fascinates her.  Today she was raking her fingers through the grass outside and acted like she was amazed at the green blades that were tickling her palm.  She has big blue eyes and rolls in all the right places :)  She is getting a little tan so I know she'll be a golden baby.  Lucy has the porcelain skin in our family.  She is sitting up and rolling over and developing perfectly :) Everly is our doll baby and we are so in love.  Can't wait to see what the next 6 months brings!
So sweet.  This is Lucy congratulating P after she had a successful "sitting session" last week.

I don't know if I've ever taken a sweeter picture of these two.  This is precious.

                                                                        One of my favorites :)
Lucy wanted a turn with P's hat too. My girls are just too cute!

Nana and Pops and a whole lotta pictures....

Where has the time gone?  Man, I used to be a daily blog reader and weekly blog writer, but now it seems that I have no minutes to spare for the blogging world.
Even now, I have to be quick.  The girls are blissfully sleeping and who knows how long this will last....SO:

Nana and Pops came for a quick 48 hour trip to Denver.  Just to see me and my girlies!  It was a short trip but it was 2 sweet days that I so very much needed!  I was sad Shawn wasn't here to see them, but we still had a lovely time together. We didn't do much- just swam, went to a yummy Mexican dinner, and talked late into the night.  Nana and Pops played with the girls and they were in heaven with all the kisses and tickles!  Unfortunately, my video camera took a dive and broke and all of the footage I had is now gone forever, so I wasn't able to get anything on film.  Hopefully we will see them again before too long and I can capture some more memories another day.
Love them dearly.

Before Nana and Pops came, I was LONELY.  Shawn only left me for 2 1/2 weeks.  But it felt like forever.  Where did my independence I used to have go?  I hate him being gone.  HATE IT!  Unless it's an emergency, I never want to leave him again.  It just plain stinks.  It's hard on me and it's hard on the girls.  I never have a minute to relax, and I ache for him at night when I go to bed all alone. Could also be because I'm extra stressed during this time. But no matter how you spin it, it really, really stinks.   The good news is, is that I will see him soon! I can't wait to hug him and see Lucy's reaction to his "homecoming."  It will be a great time.

Below is a thousand pictures from the past few weeks- my computer will NOT flip some of them to be right side up so you'll have to turn your head to view them. SO ANNOYING.  But I'm in too big of a hurry to figure it out!  Included are the ones with Nana and "Pop," as Lucy calls him.  That's pretty adorable if you ask me....
Lucy and her snow boots.  This girl loves boots.
Lucy wearing the dress that Ninny and I sewed for her! I am so happy it fits, finally!
Lucy was so generous to share her chips with Nana at dinner!
Piper's first time in a swing- clearly she loved it!
Goodbye Daddy.  Have fun in Louisiana and we will see you in a few weeks!

Lu LOVES her hats and has to wear them everywhere we go!
