The Holiday Season Has Begun!

Oh man.... How did November fly by so fast? We're in the last week and I still feel like we JUST celebrated Halloween!

This month we have successfully written our letters to Santa (that's a MUST-do before Black-Friday sales!) and decorated the whole house!  We went to Louisiana for Thanksgiving and I wanted to come home to "Christmas" so we decorated it a couple days before we left :)  And man, it was SO great to come home to.

We also had a SNOW DAY!!!!!! It snowed a lot (for Oklahoma) and the kids played in it all day! It was perfect wet, heavy snow so we were able to make 3 snowmen!  It was GLORIOUS!

We welcomed Emmalee into the world from afar; she might be all the way in Idaho but we still celebrated her birth!

Lucy had her "Showcase" (which was the equivalent to a dance recital, only it was for Cheer).  All the cheerleaders through the 7th grade performed.

There was Donuts For Daddy's so Shawn went and had breakfast at school with the girls.

We had a 3 day weekend and spent a whole day at a really cool park.

Lucy also had her "end-of-the-year" Cheer Party at a Skating Rink, so Cheer is OFFICIALLY over until next year! (YESSSSSSS!)

I went to a Kindergarten Thanksgiving Feast/Performance and it was so cute!  I was proud of my little Turkey, even if she was a little shy about performing in front of me!

And most recently, we celebrated Thanksgiving. This year at Thanksgiving, I was BEYOND homesick.  It was kind of a bummer year for me, not gonna lie.  I missed my family more than anything.  That's all I'll say about that.  I hope some year soon we get the chance to be with MY side of the family for Thanksgiving.  Because I just need that :(

We did, however, get some family pictures taken while we were in Louisiana and I think/hope they are gonna be cute, so hopefully I'll get to see those soon...

And now we gear up for December! I'm gonna take a deep breath, and then I'm gonna let the good times roll!

I hope everyone has a wonderful December full of all things happy!

Halloween Festivities and Groove-A-Thon 2018

I can't believe it's November. October just started right??! Holy cow, you guys.  IT FLEW BY!!! I can't believe it's over. It is always so much fun (and beyond busy), but I'm also so ready to switch into Christmas mode this year.  Having little kids during the Holiday season brings back the magic from my early years... It makes me just as excited for Christmas day as I was when I was 6 years old.  So, Halloween is done and I've decided that I'm basically skipping the Thanksgiving decor and going straight to Christmas! We won't be home for Thanksgiving anyway so what's the point, haha!  And, I must confess that I have been secretly listening to Christmas music for the last 2 weeks. Not all day like I do in December... but a few songs here and there... I've NEVER turned Christmas music on in October before.  I'm usually totally against that. But this year I can't help it!  Maybe part of it is because we had a COLD October- like, see-your-breath-at-night-cold (well, half of it anyway) and it made it feel more like the Holidays, if that makes sense.  Usually October is SO HOT here.  Not this October.  We had FALL.  I'm talking, red, orange, yellow BRIGHT leaves.  The most beautiful Fall I've witnessed so far in Oklahoma.  The trees really put on a spectacular show this year! The pictures just don't do it justice.
Ok. So, back to Halloween.
Sully and I were groupies tagging along with the band Styx (well, just Dennis DeYoung✌🏼), and we had 2 cute Alacorns in our midst🦄#SullysChestHairAndChains #DennisDeYoung #ComeSailAway#IWishIWasAliveInThe70s #MyBellBottomsDidntShowInThePics
While we were out Trick-Or-Treating, we left Bones in charge of handing out the candy :) And also, we had bloody fingers for dinner!!
And, even though I wasn't with my dad on Halloween, his costume is seriously the best thing I've EVER seen.  I told him he wins Halloween forever. I was DYING!!! I needed this documented!!
Before the Trick-or-Treating started, I had 3 cute Boo's!
And even before THAT, here are some pictures of our Pumpkin Carving night.  Complete with Apple Cider, Chili (the kids hated it, of course) and Halloween goodies.  This was the first year the girls' actually carved their own pumpkins and helped us scoop the guts out and sort the seeds.  Even Sully knew that we were looking for seeds and helped out! Oh yeah... AND BOSTON WON THE WORLD SERIES!!! YEAH RED SOX!!!!
And I almost forgot to say that last weekend Piper had her first ever sleepover at her Bestie's house! She was a little nervous but did great! Now, we have known Raegan and her parents for 2 years because she lives around the corner from us and they swim together all Summer long. They also are in Bible club together.  But this year, Reagan is in Piper's class at school so they have gotten REALLY close.  It's pretty cute :) ALSO Piper pulled out her 2nd tooth!! She pulled it out all by herself without telling me she was about to! It was so ready to come out, but she was so scared to do it. SoooOOOOoooo scared.  I am proud of this girl! So many changes are happening!
Now... about today.....
It sounds funny to say....but my girls danced for money today 😂💃🏼😂💃🏼Instead of our usual Jog-a-thon fundraiser, the kids’ all danced instead (with an 80’s theme) and it was a HUGE success and so much fun! And- the fitness instructor who lead all the dances literally didn’t stop from 9am to 3:15pm👯‍♀️🤸🏼‍♀️. She’s got as much energy as my 2 year old!😱 Lucy’s group was the very first of the day and Piper’s was the very last of the day and she still had it! Anyway, good job on the Groove-A-Thon BCE!!!🎶🎶🎶 And, to those that donated to Lu and Pi, thank you SOOOO much for your pledges!
And last but not least, Lucy had her last regular season game of the season on Saturday.  Next up: PLAY-OFFS!! Cheer is ALMOST over... one more week!
Oh wait!!! I'm not done "announcing" things yet like I thought I was.... Drum Roll Please.....

SULLY WENT POTTY IN THE TOILET!!!!!

With no success over the Summer, I packed away his little seat.  Tonight I brought it back out, sat it down and he went right away.  Then he proceeded to go THREE MORE TIMES within an hour i practically suffocated him with hugs and kisses because I was so excited.  You guysssss. The end of diapers is near... It's been 7 1/2 years. I am ECSTATIC!!!! Of course I took pictures (and videos, haha!!) but I won't be posting or sharing those.  I share a lot of things, but I feel like that's a little TMI for anyone other than Shawn ;-D

Ok, I'm really done now I think. I didn't even cover the Fall Festival that we went to (where we had to force Sully out of the firetruck because he was in Heaven) but I'm tired... I have SO much to do this weekend and after going to bed at 1 am and waking up at 7 today I'm just exhausted.  So, good night. I'll be back in a few weeks!
Hope everyone had a FUN Halloween! It's the best!
