Merry, Merry Christmas!

Since pictures are worth a thousand words, I figured I'd keep the typing short and mostly just post pics with captions.  Hope that works for you, because I have a lot of pictures that are too cute not to post!  The holidays were perfect.  Absolutely perfect.  Our families were so incredibly generous to my girls (and us!) and we appreciate that more than you could know.  Thank you!
You already know how much we love Christmas around here....so here are the pictures to prove it!  My girls couldn't have been happier with their "loot!"
Christmas Eve...before the party...wanted them to be clean in pictures :)
 Daddy and his girls :)
As an adult, saying "CHEESE" in pictures results in a double chin...Just a tip. Try to avoid it.  Although when you're trying to set an example to your kids by "doing," it's pretty much impossible not to.
Love the love that these 2 have for each other!
Here are our Family's Christmas Eve pictures. Fun night at Jim and Sherene's.  There was a talent show and all!
Me and my beautiful Aunts!
In my opinion, John won for best outfit. Hands down.
The Ball's and The Gilley's "talent" was "'Twas the Night Before Christmas" Skit.  We were amazing and didn't even practice!  That's called "RAW TALENT."
Heather's arms are really hairy! HAHA!
When these 3 got up to perform an Army version of "The 12 Days of Christmas," Lucy got up with them and wanted to sing along :)
And when Nolls played her Violin, Lucy did an interpretive dance along with the music.
 The Family.  Most of them.
Now pictures of Christmas Morning!
Crawling out to see what Santa brought!
 She sees the Barbie car!

This is the moment she 1st sat in her car.  She was in Heaven.  No other way to explain this picture! Thank you Santa Claus!

It's amazing how quickly the house can go from "Cute Christmas" to absolutely destroyed! And I love it :)
Lucy was given a "glam phone" that is pink and furry and she talked to "Tangled (that's Repunzel in her world)," "Cinderella," "Santa" and Ninny for a long time :)  She's such a girl!
 Her first driving lesson.....
This was the first year I was thankful that we didn't have a "White Christmas" so that Lucy could enjoy her new ride.
I am so in love with my Piper baby!
Look at that body
This was the moment Nana and Pops opened their Christmas Book from their family.  We all wrote tributes to them and of course, Nana cried. It was very touching.  Lots of "look at that!" and tears and smiles.  I loved being there to witness it!
I didn't get any other pictures of the girls at Nana's house.  But as you know, Nana cooks a huge delicious feast on Christmas and then showers us all with presents- every single member of her family.  She is the most selfless woman I know and I don't know how I was lucky enough to placed in her family.  I love her more than words.....Pops is JUST as great. Can't leave him out :)

And.....more presents!

Lucy's current obsession(s) are: anything pink, all dolls, Barbies, and the Disney Princesses.  So Grammy and Paw Paw bought her the Disney Princess Barbie set and she was ecstatic! She pointed out each Barbie Princess to us and then sang to them all day long.  I think she was singing Disney songs, but this little girl sings a little off-key so I can't be sure....hey, at least she loves to sing!

Shawn was given an LSU belt.  His exact words were "OH MY GOSH, THIS IS AWESOME!  I've always wanted one of these but I never asked 'cause I knew you'd never buy me one...." Haha!

Piper is getting so good at standing up these days.  All on her own!
Shawn SCORED! He was shocked.  Thanks SO MUCH Gillley's!

I hope everyone had a very Merry Christmas.  Of course we can't forget our love for the Savior and reflect on the true meaning of Christmas throughout the Holiday Season.  We read the story of Christ's birth on Christmas at Nana's so that we could all remember why this Holiday means so much.  As the girls are little, they can't comprehend or understand the birth of Christ quite yet (despite our best efforts to teach them all about Baby Jesus) but they know it's a day full of joy and laughter...and presents.  I am grateful that we get to do both- celebrate the miraculous birth of Jesus Christ and celebrate Santa, and all with family. Merry Christmas and lots of love to you all!
