Lucky Number 7

Piper Everly Gilley is 7 months old today!  She's officially over the 1/2 way mark to being a toddler....that can't be, can it??  Well, she might be as big as a toddler, that's for sure.  The chart says she's only in the 56th percentile for weight but I find that hard to believe (wait 'til you scroll down and see all her delicious rolls!).  She's tall though, because she's 71% for height.

She has fuzzy white-blonde hair growing in.  She's getting her second layer of hair and it’s SO cute! It’s soooo soft and already growing fast; a few weeks ago it touched the top of her ears, and now it’s growing past them. She has the best hair!  She's already getting pony tails :)

She's a pro at sitting up now! She doesn't tip over anymore.  She struggles to roll, but does it occasionally so I know she can.  She's just too heavy J She's SO good at reaching and picking up things.  She's trying to feed herself food, but hasn't learned how to put the food in her mouth and let go.  She still holds onto it.  She makes a staccato squeal that is the best! She gets hyper and quickly does a high pitched and LOUD squawk or squeal.  It’s so cute! She finally puts weight on her legs when we make her stand up:)
Also “new” for her this month was meeting most of the Ball family and Aunt Coley and Tiff and their kids.  We moved in with Ninny and Papa and she's met everyone here.  She's the sweetest baby so everyone’s in love with her.
She pretty much loves ALL food and can bite into fruit. It’s pretty amazing! She still LOVES Bo on the Go! It’s her favorite show ever! Lucy likes it too- it's the one show they can agree on.
Lucy is still a great older sister but now that we're at Ninny and Papa's, she has Griffin to obsess over and Piper gets a little left out.  Lu and Griff are the best of friends and run around outside (and inside) together ALL DAY LONG- he even sleeps at her door when she's asleep in her room.  Lucy loves to be outside.  Unfortunately the mosquitos love her too.  So Papa and Daddy sprayed the back yard one night to kill them all so now she can run around as much as she wants and not get a single bite :)

Well folks, I'm off! Hope you're all having a happy Thursday!
Her cute pony tail :)

Love these ROLLS!
Love you my sweet P! Happy 7 Months!

Busy, Busy, Busy!

Ok- here is a recap of our busy week:
We got the girls pictures back from their "editor" (aka Tiff) and they are too cute NOT to share with everyone! Their cute dresses are gifts from their Aunt Christa.  They just ooze sweetness!
We also had the family over to Papa and Ninny's for the 4th of July and lit fireworks until midnight!  The day started with a Star 4th of July parade and Lucy had fun running out and filling her bag with candy :)  She also got to wear blue eye shadow and mascara that day, just like her mommy! It stays light in Boise until 10:30 at night and warm all night too so we had a late night and an EARLY morning! Lucy was up at 4am....hooray for us....She is such a child of routine.  If she gets too far off, it's very hard on her.  Piper slept through the loud fireworks because we had 3 sound machines next to her head to block out the noise :) The fireworks made Lucy a little nervous because they were SO LOUD (the neighbors put on a huge show every year).  But she sat in our car in the driveway and watched from there and loved them that way.  It was fun to be around all the little kids and watch their excitement that night.

The next morning we stuck with tradition and went to breakfast for my Dad's 50th birthday.  We didn't ride our bikes to the restaurant this year because of our girls, but the rest of the family did and it was fun to be back here to celebrate with him.  Especially for #50! That's huge! It was a happy day.

This week we introduced Lucy to the neighbors horses.  She had fun talking to them, but was a little hesitant to touch and feed them.  You should hear her noise she makes when she imitates a horse. She's stinkin' cute.

Today was little Evelyn's blessing and she looked so cute and was awake but quiet through the whole thing.  I am so happy I was here to listen to Papa's sweet words.  I'm thankful for my family :)

Here are a few more random pictures throughout the week.  Lucy planted her own little flower garden and it may have been one of the cutest things I've ever seen her do. She was SO proud of her creation and after she "planted" each flower she clapped and said "YAY!" I love that little girl of mine!
I got to babysit Russell Muscle and he cuddled with me for a LONG time!
My biggest sweetheart! Good Morning Mommy! Sorry I am up at night a lot these days....

Hope everyone had a fun holiday week! Until next time.....
