I'm Exhausted!

Wow. I'm tired. I feel like I'm trudging along with cement in my veins. I'm like, "pregnant tired" and I'm not even pregnant!  (I swear, I'm really not.)  Along with packing, packing and more packing (in 900 degree heat, none-the-less), my landlord calls me and tells me we have "showings" of our house.  So not only do I have to do the whole annoying moving thing primarily by myself (since Shawn travels) I now have to do extra cleaning to show this dang thing.  Life.....sometimes it's so tiring!

After I complete this blog (which may be the last one until we are settled in New Hampshire) I'm going to see how early I can get to bed.  I need to catch up on my sleep!  East Coast time may only be 3 hours ahead, but my body is still struggling!

Yes- we flew to New Hampshire and it was SO great.  I honestly didn't know what to expect at all.  I had NO idea what I would see when I was there.  I just couldn't picture it. But it's rolling hills and mountains of crazy amounts of green along with lakes and rivers everywhere.  It's like a combination of New Jersey's greens, Upstate NY's hills and mountains, and Eagle and Coeur d'Alene, Idaho's lakes and rivers.  Plus there's the Ocean too!  It's gorgeous.  The air is fresh and it's only humid in the Southern part of the state.  The Northern part is mountain air and it's not humid- which is where we found our house!  We are moving to Lincoln, NH.  We love the house we found.  It felt like "home" as soon we walked in!  It's old, and heated by oil (ALL the houses out there are- in fact, our Realtor laughed at us when we asked how the oil thing works.  She thought we were kidding!  She said "so out West EVERYTHING is heated by natural gas??? Even the pipes under the streets that connect to buildings and stuff??"  She couldn't quite wrap her head around it, kind of like I cant quite wrap my head around the oil heating system!  She said "OK, I'll explain as best as I can, but I've never had to explain this to anyone before!")  Anyway, the stairs are steep and the floors are old and uneven, but I love it.  I absolutely love it. Shawn and I will have our own big porch right off of our bedroom that faces the ski mountain, and our closet is the size of a room! HALLELUJAH!  He's getting an office and the girls will share a room; and there will be a designated toy room downstairs.  Our backyard is big with a fire-pit and tons of huge Maple Trees (hence the reason why our street is called Maple street :) )  It's in the cutest little town too.  Lots of local shops and restaurants, but 10 minutes away you get all your big chain stores.  It's going to take awhile to get used to living in a small town, but there's actually so much to do there and it looks like it could be on the front of a postcard.  It's a resort town so they have a lot of activities for the tourists (and locals).  I can't wait!
The hills and greenery are like this EVERYWHERE.  This is a normal stretch of highway up there.  And yes, Lucy's barbies got window seats on the plane too :)
Out exploring the River that's across the main street from our house!
The down stairs of our new house.  Just part of it, but I LOVE the old wood burning stove :)
Back yard- needs a little TLC, but I'm ready to spruce it up!

While we were there, we drove all around NH just sightseeing and falling in love with it all.  The people were super friendly and didn't look any different than us.  The NH natives have slight accents, but since so many people there are from Massachusetts, many people have the thick accents.  A lot of people work in Boston but live in NH (25 min away) because it's cheaper than Boston.

We also visited Hampton Beach.  It is about 2 hours from our soon-to-be house, so we will be able to take some day trips easily.  The water was perfect and the sand was so soft!  It was so much fun!  They have a boardwalk and a park right near the water on the sand.  I love the ocean!  How did I get so lucky to get the best of both worlds?? Lakes and Mountains, all 4 seasons, plus the beach! This is a dream come true!

We spent a day in Boston and visited Fenway and Boston Common.  It's so beautiful there- I wish I had millions of dollars and could buy a house down there.  I love Boston!
This is what happens when I tell them to look at the camera.  They look in opposite directions.
Lucy has to take her Barbies EVERYWHERE!
So just imagine that the "i" in this picture is gone....Then it's Piper's name! :)
I just love that the seats I'm sitting in are the oldest baseball stadium seats in the nation.  I LOVE Fenway's history!

The girls were, ehhhh, ok.... on the flights, but 6 hours of flying is tough on kids.  They were much better than last year's fiasco when we flew to NYC, so that's good.  It was a whirlwind of a week and I'm glad to be home and back on PST.  I just wish it was August 10th already so we could be there unpacking and getting settled in.  The next few weeks are going to be filled with moving and I am SO over it!

Oh well- it's life and I'm thankful for what we have!

Adios Amigos.  And one last thing before I go- LIVE FREE OR DIE! (New Hampshire's state motto.  Awesome.)
