Crazy 8

Piper is now 8 whole months.  I know I always say "this month flew by," but it's because they all do! Much, much too quickly. Along with a new age, Pi also gets new foods added to her diet this month (meat) which will only add to her scrumptious rolls.  She also got some new toys rotated into her mix.  In with the new, out with the old "baby" stuff.  It's time for tables and walkers!
She holds her own bottles, feeds herself table food, sings all day, claps, loves to dance (is now bobbing her head to music), is showing more interest in shows other than "Bo on the Go" and still manages to keep us all smiling all day long.
This is one CUTE and happy, happy, happy girl!  I know a sticker can only be captured so many times, but the face that accompanies Piper's "8 Months" sticker was too darling for me to just stop at one....so go ahead and enjoy a batch of Piper's 8 month photos from today!
Can we all just take a moment to look at the cutest "ski jump" nose that ever existed??
Once she discovers the sticker, it's all over.  But don't  worry, I've added a few more pictures of the girls for you all to enjoy as well.

Naughty girl in time out!

 HAPPY 8 MONTHS PUMPKIN PIE!

Oh, Lucy.... this post was mostly for Piper but how can I NOT mention this picture?  You're so beautiful that my heart aches just looking at you sometimes.  I don't know why, but there really isn't another way to describe it.  Thank you for this picture!

Alright, go enjoy what's left of your day.  And thanks for stopping by.  Hope everyone had a Happy Sunday!

LOVE

There is absolutely nothing I love more in life than my little princesses. NOTHING.  So today as I spent the day at the park with them, I thought about how I should dedicate a simple blog post to tell them that I love them.  No events to talk about.  No stories to tell.  I just want to say that I love them. I try to use these 3 words with my daughters more than any other words in the English language.  Whether its a whisper in her ear or a shout to the heavens.  I profess my love to them as often as my heart feels it. There are people out there who feel that offering this phrase "too frequently" renders it less important, but I know in my heart that it simply can't be said enough, especially to a child.  I grew up hearing it everyday and I treasure that fact.  I still hear it everyday.  Where would we be without love??  I can't wait for Piper to say it to me (even though her knowing smile lets me know how much she loves me), and I adore hearing Lucy say "I yove you, Mommy."  How sweet it is to be loved by them... (I know I got you singing that song now, huh? :) )
Anyway, there is not a single phrase that should be spoken more often than the phrase "I love you..." as long as you mean it with all your heart when you say it.  And let me tell you, when it comes to these babes, I totally do.  I LOVE THEM. I unconditionally and unapologetically love them.  I love every inch of them.  I love Piper's sweet breath (she still has it!). I love how Lucy puts an "F" in front of almost all her words (Shawn jokes that she drops "F" bombs too often). I love how our Pumpkin Pie has a deliciously smooth and rolly-polly body. I love Lucy's big beautiful eyes and red lips.  I love that Piper is currently holding her bottle and drinks it like there's no tomorrow.  I love that Lucy still clings to me when she's sad or happy.  I love that Piper is starting to "sing" all day.  I love that Lu is a sponge and is soaking up all the wonders of the world.  I love that Pi's whole face lights up when I walk into a room, like I am the best thing she's ever seen!  I love that Lucy's favorite outfit is no outfit at all. I love how Piper grabs my face and pulls me in for big, slobbery kisses.  I love Lucy's sweet prayers that she quietly says at bedtime. I love that Piper is learning to crawl but can't quite seem to move an arm and a leg at the same time and keep her balance.  I love how the backyard is Lucy's playground to explore.  I love Piper's white-blonde hair. I love that Lucy has such a big personality.  I love Piper's sweet spirit.  The list goes on and on and on.  I love these babies.  I never could have expected that I could love my second baby half as much as I love my first.  But I do.  Sweet Piper Everly captures my whole entire heart- the same way that beautiful Lucy Barbara does.  There is no give-and-take between these sweethearts.  There is no competition.  These girls are my world and I can't imagine a single minute of my life without them in it.  They are my pride and joy. My littlest best friends.  My babies.  And I am utterly thankful to Shawn for helping me bring them into this world.  I love you too, Shawn :)

All My Love,
Mommy
