So, over the last 5 days I have gotten to go to TWO absolutely AMAZING concerts!! One of them wouldn't have been possible without my Mama because, a few months back, she so generously sent Shawn and I some money to go out. She knew that we don't get to have date nights because sitters are SO expensive and we don't live around family to babysit for us, so she surprised us with a check and told us to go out on a date. Well, around that time we found out Bruno Mars was coming here so we decided to put the money away on shelf in my closet and save it for last night to pay our babysitter. It was one of the best shows I've ever been to. It was SO worth the wait. So THANK YOU MOM (and Dad!!)! We appreciate that more than you know! Going out with Shawn is my favorite thing ever. We had the time of our lives last night!
I had way too much fun at both concerts. I think Taylor Swift's show was literally one of the best I've ever seen. The lights, the insane props, just EVERYTHING was awesome- even if we did have to drive 4 hours to see her and had far, far away seats. She's one of my top 3 favorite artists. I can now say I've seen my 3 favorite artists in the world- Britney Spears, Garth Brooks, and Taylor Swift. I have tons of artists that I LOOOOOVE, but those 3 are probably at the very top of my list. Bruno Mars is definitely a top 10 as well. He was here in Tulsa last night, and he is, hands down, one of the most talented performers I've ever seen. His dance moves are incredible. He's here both last night and tonight but Shawn and I couldn't afford the tickets tonight since they were double the cost for the same seats (weekend vs. week night concert prices are so different!). But as Shawn and I were walking to our far away seats, someone who works at the BOK Center stopped us and said "hey, do you guys want better seats?" I was leery of him and asked if this was some sales pitch, but he pulled out some tickets and said "Bruno didn't fill up the bottom section since it's a Thursday night and we don't want him to see empty seats, so I can get you really close to the stage for free." Like, IS THIS EVEN MY LIFE?! I was ECSTATIC!!!! We were SOOOO close! Talk about being in the right place at the right time! It was amazing.
Here are the captions that I posted on Facebook about the concerts:
"When I bought these tickets 10 months ago, I really worried that bringing the girls would be a mistake; that they were too young. But last night proved that it was most definitely NOT a mistake. There were thousands of little girls in that stadium and Lucy and Piper were pumped the entire 3 hours we were there- singing every word to every song and dancing the whole time. It was worth EVERY. SINGLE. PENNY. I FINALLY got to see Taylor in concert. It was the first time I’ve gotten a ticket before she sold out and it will not be the last time, I can guarantee that! It was one of THE best nights ever. Didn’t take many pics ‘cause honestly, they never look as good as they do in real life anyway. But it was definitely one for the books." #ReputationTour#BucketList
*DISCLAIMER*- I did not take the next 5 pictures. But I snagged them from online because this is the concert we were at- we were one of those little dots out there, so I wanted to have them in my blog book, haha. She gave everyone light-up wrist bands upon entering so she could "see every single person that was there." Every wrist band lit up and she said "even all the people in the very back, way up high, I want you to know that I SEE YOU. And I appreciate you so much."
It was just the best ever.
Ok, now, about last night....
"My husband is a GEM you guys... without my knowledge, he went and bought us both plaid to wear tonight because he knows the word “matching” makes my heart skip a beat ๐๐. I love him, and I LOVE date nights!"

I wish I could have uploaded videos of these concerts to show you how outstanding the performers were, but also to show you how much fun the girls had at Taylor Swift. If you're on Facebook or Instagram, they're posted there! Lucy's dancing was way too cute!
And finally, we picked the girls up from school today and trekked over to the Pumpkin patch even though it was a very wet day. It's always so HOT here in October but we are having cold weather "for the first time in foreverrrrrr" and I wanted to take advantage of going to the pumpkin patch in the cold. I didn't get any pictures of the kids with actual pumpkins (I realized after we left) but the animals were the best part anyway.... and the Camel wouldn't stop trying to eat my face (and my umbrella). He loved us, haha!
And one last picture of Piper because she got to wear tights yesterday for the first time since April, thanks to this cold-front. We were both SO excited! I wish Fall would last forever!
