October started out with a bang! We kicked it off with a 3rd grade Pep Rally for the Cheerleaders and the Football players and GUESS WHAT?! It was cold enough for sweatshirts! FINALLY!!!!! The girls did a cute performance on the field, there were sno-cones, a gift exchange and a lot of 3rd grade boys and girls who were sooooo “grossed out” and embarrassed to stand next to each other😆 Needless to say, a giant group picture just did NOT happen! I was the "unofficial" photographer and I had to force all the girls to stand with all the boys and smile. Over and over I had to say "get closer please! Smile! Act happy!" Hahaha! They were all so afraid of accidentally touching the other's hand when they had to exchange their gifts. It was soooo funny. All the parents were cracking up. A lot of red faces because of embarrassment. What a fun age!
Then it got hot again for a few days... but Sunday we woke up to a nip in the air. YAAAAY!!!!
We👏🏼have👏🏼Fall👏🏼weather!
BeCAUSE we had Fall weather, we knew we had to take advantage and go to the Pumpkin Patch. 😉🎃But more than the pumpkins, my kids especially loved the goats and camels🐪 It was so cute!!🐐😁 It was FALL all day so we did all the Fall things! Including some baking with Hocus Pocus playing in the background! Oh, how I loved our weather yesterday!🍂 #MatchyMatchy#ObligatoryPumpkinPatchPics
I love this boy so much. He is SOOOO hilarious. He literally says the funniest things you've ever heard and seriously makes everyone he's around laugh all the time. He also loves to hug and kiss me and tell me how much he loves me. He's crazy and hyper and sooooo exhausting. But I love him more than anything! |
And finally, Mrs. Sumler is a brave (and sweet) soul to let this little guy hang out in her classroom once a week while I volunteer! I haven’t ever been able to be a regular volunteer at the girls’ school in 3 years because of this monster! This year, however, he’s a little better behaved so we are starting out slowly and he’s been doing pretty good! ALSO: I was soooo excited to learn that the 3rd graders here still learn cursive! I don’t know WHY so many states have cut that out of the curriculum because I think kids need it! How exciting!
Next week we head to Florida for Fall Break and even though we just had a taste of Fall weather here (only for a day!) I'm ready for the beach! Then when we get back it will be Fall (for more than just a day) so I'll get the best of both worlds, right?! ;-)
