Piper Everly.
The girl who proved to me that as a Mother I can, in fact, love more than one child to the point where my heart feels like it's going to burst. Lucy might have taught me what a Mother's love is, but Piper taught me that when you have another baby, your love multiplies, not divides. I know that's cliche, but it's so true. I love remembering her birth and the quiet moments we had together after she was born...when it was just us in our hospital room, skin to skin, with soft Christmas music playing in the background all day long... I won't go into all the details because I have many times before in the past on my blog, but I just wanted to give this girl a shout-out on her big day.
Goodbye 6, hello 7👋🏼 Even though she’s not sure being 7 is going to be that great and said she really misses being 6, she still made through her first day of this new mysterious age😆 We celebrated her all day from start to finish! There were a few meltdowns along the way (plus a REALLY jealous little brother!) but we made it! 🎉🛍
Not my best work....but she asked for a flower cake and no one but our little family had to see it. So its ok :)
I guess it's become a tradition to bring Happy Meals in for lunch on their birthdays?? I LOVE going to lunch with them :)
And of course, no birthday is complete without a few meltdowns, yeah? Ha! Well, she had a good day and I know that even though '7' feels intimidating to her now, she will grow to love it :)
We're so close to Christmas, y'all! Let's get this show on the road!!!
