I know I just posted about Shawn's birthday which was Feb 4th, but I didn't quite catch up on January and I feel like that needs to happen.
Well first of all we went to a Hockey Game and it was Sully's first time! The girls always get free tickets to one game each season through school and this year it was to see the Allen Texas Americans play against our team, the Tulsa Oilers. It was fun. Hockey games are always a blast!
The kids were shown dancing on the big screen many, many times and they were ecstatic about that! We went with our friends, the Clarks, and we all had a good day! They are the type of friends who like Sully, put up with Sully, and laugh at him even when he is awful. You know, some people don't love him like that. He's hard. And he's overwhelming. And there are just some people (even some friends of ours, unfortunately) who have a hard time with him. But the Clarks? They love Sully :) :)
Next up! Here is a direct quote from January 23rd:
"So this little dude finally graduated into a toddler bed tonight and he is SO excited. We’ve been holding off for so long because, well, we liked having him caged in. But after a few weeks of him climbing out of his crib anyway there was no point. Bye bye crib railing. You served all 3 of my babies well"💙 #MileStonesThatHurtMyHeart #PleaseSleepTonight
Fast forward to January 27th and the crib rail came back up! He did GREAT for 3 nights. And then.... he started waking up at 3 am and DESTROYING his room. Not a little mess here and there. I'm talking FULL-ON destroy. DVD's flung everywhere. Powder dumped everywhere. Poop smeared everywhere (for whatever reason, he was taking off his diaper and pooping on the ground and then trying to clean it up with thousands of wipes.... so those got everywhere as well). Toys on every surface of the floor. All the clothes ripped down off their hangers and thrown about. It was a mess and disgusting and after 3 nights of this, we gave up. We put the rail back on. He can get out of his crib easily, but he doesn't destroy his room in the middle of the night when the railing is on. Anyway, he will be 3 in 5 days and he's still in his crib.... :( I was so excited about his milestone, but it was an epic failure.
Here are a couple of random pics. Sully making a mess, as usual. And the girls playing with dry-ice! The kids had a blast with that! Even Sully got in on it! Sooo much fun!
NEXT- the girls had "Mornings with Mom's" at their school. I got to go up to the school and have donuts with them! Then when we went to Piper's class, I got a cute keychain of her as a keepsake. I truly LOVE their school and all they do for the families that go there. I took this picture of Piper's hair because she wanted a "fancy hair-do" for our breakfast date. She is so sweet!
Here is an updated picture of Harper and Aussie because they're almost a year old and I don't remember the last time we took pictures of them? |
We also celebrated Piper's 100th Day of School! She had to make a shirt with 100 items on it, so she picked googly-eyes and fuzz balls for it while I glued it all on:) |
The next batch of pics are for your viewing pleasure. It's just our day-to-day life. Nothing exciting. But just taking fun pics with my little guy who very rarely wants to take pictures. I love him!
Last but not least.... The girls always sleep with sleep masks on their faces and it cracks me up! I steal pictures of them sleeping sometimes because I love it so much!
So with that, I'll log off! Bye for now!
