NINNY WAS HERE FOR VALENTINE'S DAY! You guys! I haven't seen her on Valentine's Day since 2011 when I was pregnant with Lucy and we were at her house in Star waiting to surprise Nana and Pops on their 50th anniversary. Wait. Hold on. Actually- the details are a little fuzzy and I can't remember if we even actually celebrated that day or just a day close by it.... So, it's probably been even longer than that! But it was SO special to be with her! Not just for me but for the kids. They've never spent Valentine's Day with her- EVER. She always sends them goodies for the holiday and they love it so much, but this year she got to hand over their little goodie bags in person. Lucy was ecstatic when she learned Ninny would be here on the actual Holiday. And Ninny went to the girls' class parties and told me that when she walked into Piper's classroom, she yelled "NINNY!" and jumped up and ran to her and almost knocked her over! :) My kids ADORE Ninny.
The day was gray in the morning but the skies cleared and it turned into a beautiful sunny 68 degree day. After school, we went and got Taco Bell and McDonalds and had a picnic at the park- 'cause we're fancy like that, haha! My plans of making a nice dinner went out the window when we saw the beautiful forecast! It was too nice out to be inside. I'm so glad Ninny got a couple days of sunshine during her week here. She wanted some sunshine so badly since it's a Winter Wonderland in Boise. It started off freezing and ended freezing, but there were a few warm and sunny days sandwiched in.
On Valentine's Day night we had a mini-birthday celebration for this little guy (using one of our Valentine's Day cupcakes baked by Ninny!) so that Ninny could sing "Happy birthday" to him before she left :)
Now onto other news:
Shawn and my Annual Valentine's Day Celebration had to be celebrated a weekend early this year, but it did NOT disappoint! It was so perfect! We made such delicious Sushi, as usual, watched the movie Valentine's Day, and relaxed. Every year my blog is the same about Valentine's Day because every year we do the same thing. But it was still just as sweet. This year we added a sushi tool to our kitchen so that our sushi would be more "professional" and not fall apart. It worked perfectly! We ate as much sushi as we could fit in our bellies and had such a romantic night. I LOVE Shawn and I LOVE Valentine's Day. Especially Valentine's Day with him. This night is one of my favorites of the whole entire year.

Thanks for being my forever Valentine Shawn.
FUN FACT: Shawn and I started "talking" on Valentine's Day TEN YEARS AGO! It's the night we first knew of the other's existence. So we can officially say we've known each other for 10 years now. To me, that's a lot! I love it! 10 years of Valentine's Days down... forever to go.
